- Definition
- A pre-fired, pulverized and semi-vitrified material made from a mixture of flux, sand or other refractory material and that may contain coloring ingredients added to ceramic paste. Used in making enamel and ceramic glazes. Also used to increase hardness and density of the paste compound.
