- An animal-drawn tool usually consisting of several iron shares attached to a rectangular- or triangular-shaped wooden or metal frame, often equipped with cross bars, usually adjustable in width, with one or more draft wheels, and two long V-shaped handles. Used to break up soil and unearth weeds, particularly in crops growing in rows or on hillsides.
