Definition
A tool consisting of a steel head and shank and a handle usually made of turned wood. The head has a adjustable and removable blade-mount and a fence. A metal blade is attached to the mount by one screw. Used to create a shallow channel to sink stitches further into the leather. Used also to make decorative parallel grooves or to mark sewing lines.
