- A small vessel, usually made of galvanized metal or plastic, cylindrical or truncated in shape with an open top and with a flat bottom and a carrying bail handle. Sometimes decorated with a variety of bright colors and patterns. Usually accompanied by a small shovel. Used by children for catching, holding, or carrying liquids or solids, such as sand.
