rotary telephone dialer
- Definition
- A small usually metal or plastic device, in various styles, consisting of a spherical shaped head narrowing to a thin disk fixed to a slightly curved and flattened cylindrical handle. Inserted into the rotary dial wheel of a telephone, in lieu of the finger and, used mostly by women, to dial numbers and to prevent damaging the fingernails.
