- A tool consisting of several narrow metal or rubber bars with rows of short, fine teeth or serrated edges riveted parrallel to each other to two crossbars, sometimes with a row of course teeth on the back of the first bar, and attached to a short wooden handle. Used to loosen mud, sweat and dust from an animal's coat.
